Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals meet in a do-or-die match in DubaiThe loser of the game will be immediately knocked out of IPL 2020For the winner to qualify for play-offs, the results of KXIP and SRH’s games will come into play

The last double-header of IPL 2020 is going to be an exciting one as three of the four teams playing on the day still remain in the battle for the play-off spots.

5th-placed Kings XI Punjab take on MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings in a must-win encounter in the day game while Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders face in the evening game that will see one of them crashing out of the play-offs race.

Sunrisers Hyderabad's big win on Saturday against Royal Challengers Bangalore added more spice to what has already been an exciting play-offs race. As many as 4 teams can finish on 14 points and Net Run Rate will come into play to decide the 4th-placed side in that case.

Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders don’t have their fate completely in their hands as despite a win, both teams need other results to go their way.

Steve Smith’s men need to first win their game on Sunday, and then will qualify for play-offs without NRR calculations coming into play if KXIP and SRH lose their remaining matches.

But if either of those two teams win, then it will all be about the all-important net run rate.

Kolkata Knight Riders, on the other hand, have suffered a dramatic fall as they have lost 3 of their last 4 matches by big margins. The series of defeats has dampened their NRR, which is the lowest among the teams in contention.

To have a distant chance of making it to the play-offs, they first need to beat Rajasthan Royals by a big margin, and then again hope that KXIP and SRH lose their final match.

The loser of the game on Sunday, will immediately be knocked out, while the fate of the winner will hang in balance.
