In another big-ticket and old rivalry battle in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 on Monday, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will be eying their fifth win when they take on each other in Sharjah.
With Virat Kohli back in form, RCB seem to have found the right combination for IPL 2020 and will be happy to move to Sharjah Cricket Stadium, a ground with similar characteristics to Chinnaswamy, their home ground, in Bengaluru.
RCB will be heading in this match on the back of their 37-run win against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). RCB, in addition to their win against CSK, have 3 wins against Rajasthan Royals (RR), Mumbai Indians (MI) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).— Royal Challengers Bangalore (@RCBTweets) October 12, 2020
On the other hand, KKR come into this game on the back of a nail-biting 2-run win over the Kings XI Punjab, their fourth in six games as well. Although the KKR batting has impressed in patches in IPL 2020, it is Shubman Gill that has run away with the plaudits.
Also, Rahul Tripathi, Eoin Morgan and skipper Dinesh Karthik have shown encouraging signs in the batting department. On the bowling front, the burden has been shared equally by Varun Chakravarthy, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Shivam Mavi and Kamlesh Nagarkoti.
Stats to watch out for: KKR vs RCB, IPL 2020
