The inclusion of Jason Holder in the playing XI of Sunrisers Hyderabad has done wonders for the team. They defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore in Eliminator of IPL 2020 and extending their winning run to 4 matches on Friday. Jason Holder starred in the match with his all-round performance.

The West Indian captain took wickets in the Powerplay to finish with match figures of 3 for 25 in his 4 overs. With the bat, he partnered with Kane Williamson (50*) for extremely vital 65 unbeaten runs off 47 deliveries. 9 runs were needed from the last 6 balls and only one run had come in the first 2 deliveries by Navdeep Saini but Holder held his nerves to smash back-to-back boundaries on the 3rd and 4th delivery to finish off the match in style.

In a post-match conversation with Kane Williamson, Holder was asked about filling the important all-rounder's slot in the team and doing justice with the role beautifully. The lanky cricketer quickly acknowledged the support of 'cool and calm customer' Kane Williamson.

The West Indies captain hailed his New Zealand counterpart, saying that he makes his job easier.

"All-rounder role is very important but we have a cool, calm customer like you (Williamson) who makes a job easier. Probably didn't get the flow as the wicket was a little bit tricky but good to finish the game for the team and you took most of the pressure off me.

"Nine off six could be tricky and challenging for teams but to squeeze a boundary of covers and one behind point was ideal and at the end, a win is a win.

"The key wickets in Powerplay were crucial, there was enough seam movement and a pace upfront so I tried to use that as my advantage. We really complimented well and we have been able to restrict team to manageable totals and hopefully, we can continue this in the last couple of games of the IPL," Holder told Williamson in a video posted on IPL's official site.

From his 6 IPL 2020 matches, Holder has scalped 13 wickets at an economy of 7.62 and strike rate of 11.00. He has registered scores of 5, 26* and 24* in his 3 innings this season. Holder will be next seen playing in Qualifier 2 versus Delhi Capitals on Sunday. The winner of the match will face Mumbai Indians in the final on Tuesday.
