Sunrisers Hyderabad captain David Warner said the team's cool, calm and relaxed approach is the reason behind their resurgence in the latter half of the Indian Premier League 2020.

SRH found their mojo back in the final stages of the league phase and defeated Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians, the top-3 teams at that stage, to reach the playoffs.

SRH then knocked out RCB in the eliminator to set up the second qualifier against DC at the Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on November 8.

Talking about their success in the tournament, Warner said flying under the radar and not being talked about much has actually helped them in their campaign every year.

The 2016 IPL-winning captain also thanked the franchise owners for placing their trust and belief in the players even during the toughest phases.

"We are all in a team and we are here for a reason and that is to win. We take small steps, the big prize is obviously the trophy but you have to take small steps to get there.

"For us it's about each individual knowing their role, and executing their role to the best of their ability. There are a lot of teams on paper who might look and set up better than what our structure is. But we can only control what we do.

"And so far we have been flying under the radar, it's funny because no-one talks about us at the beginning of the tournament, about making the finals and winning the IPL. For us, there is no pressure. I am always a relaxed kind of person and captain. And even with our coach and players, we are just relaxed people. We are cool, calm and we take each ball as it comes.

"We just go out there and back ourselves and we believe in ourselves. That stems down from the franchise owners, they are very humble, they are a great family and they have the ultimate trust and backing in the team. We thank them for passing down that gratitude and humbleness down to us," Warner said on Sports Today.
