Former New Zealand fast bowler-turned commentator, Danny Morrison asked the million-dollar question to the man himself when he got MS Dhoni to clarify about his future in the Indian Premier League. Ahead of CSK's final league match against Kings XI Punjab, Morrison, who presented the toss, started his interview by asking the big question.

"Could this be your last game in yellow?" Danny Morrison asked. MS Dhoni responded, saying: "Definitely not."

MS Dhoni's answer to Danny Morrison's question has set the internet on fire as 'Definitely not' is among the top trends on social media in the country.

MS Dhoni had retired from international cricket when he made an unforeseen announcement on social media on August 15. With Chennai Super Kings missing the play-offs berth for the first time in the history of IPL and questions were being asked about the future of the aging side.

Speaking about the question that has become viral in the cricket fraternity, Danny Morrison said it was the 'obvious question', given CSK were playing their last match of the season on Sunday.

"It was an obvious question. It's the end of the road of CSK this season and I think like a lot of cricket fans globally wanted to know. MSD, have you got another season in you?" Danny Morrison told Star Sports.

'Always nice to get a smile from dear old MS'

Morrison shed light on MS Dhoni's decision, saying that CSK captain might have decided to carry on, considering the next IPL is coming up in just a few month's time. The BCCI is scheduled to host IPL 2021 in the normal window of March-May, provided the Covid-19 pandemic situation is under control.

"The gift of what's going on amid all the sadness around the globe due to Covid is that the next IPL is scheduled to be played in next April or end of March, the normal window. So it's only 6 months away. So it's allowed MSD in a way 'I am fit enough, hungry enough'. Also, a lot of chat about the passing on the mantle and looking after the CSK legacy to go on, and he has been a huge part of it," Morrison said.

"So it's pleasing. It's always nice to try and get a smile from dear old MSD at the toss."

Chennai Super Kings are looking to finish their campaign on a high. After losing 8 of their first 11 matches, CSK were staring at a horror end to their campaign. However, with 2 wins in their next two matches, the 3-time champions showcased they wouldn't go down without a fight.

MS Dhoni's personal form has been cause for concern as the CSK captain has managed just 200 runs in 13 matches and is in danger of finishing the season without a fifty for the first time in his IPl career.
