Chelsea 3-0 Stade Rennais

Chelsea’s German forward Timo Werner scored two first-half penalties in a comfortable 3-0 win over Rennes.

"I am happy, I am happy Jorginho is cool with it. It is another point that speaks for our team, we are not selfish. We all go in one direction which is good," Werner told BT Sport.

"We had a very good game today," Werner said. "Also good for me is we had one more player on the pitch and could control it from behind."

RB Leipzig 2-1 Paris-Saint Germain

Paris St Germain were shocked by RB Leipzig who fought back to register 2-1 win in a pulsating Champions League Group H clash. Forsberg was delighted Leipzig ground out what may turn out to be a priceless win in their bid to reach the knockout stages.

"It was an important goal and an important win," the Swedish forward said.

"I’m proud of the team and the performance. It’s not easy to play against such a top team, but we played with courage. We were hungry and desperate to win, which I think you could see on the pitch today."

Barcelona 2-1 Dynamo Kiev

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen produced another excellent effort to make several excellent saves as his team registered a 2-1 victory over Dynamo Kyiv.

"It was obvious the club was on a downward trend and that every year things were getting a little bit worse than the last," Pique said after his side scraped a 2-1 win over Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League on Wednesday.

"We all know the situation the club is in right now, we're going through a process of change which was badly needed."

Ferencvaros 1-4 Juventus

Alvaro Morata scored twice to help Juventus to a 4-1 Champions League win at Ferencvaros on Wednesday as they bounced back from last week's defeat by Barcelona.

"Games can become easy only if you play well," said Juventus captain Giorgio Chiellini. "In the first half we were a bit slow with possession, we raised our tempo in the second half and we managed to earn another important win."

Istanbul Basaksehir 2-1 Manchester United

Manchester United's defending woes in the first half forced them to 2-1 Champions League defeat against Istanbul Basaksehir.

"The first one is that we play a short corner and forget about the man up top. That's unforgivable ... We've not done our roles, it's my responsibility," Solskjaer told reporters.

"You don't see goals like that at this level. You shouldn't concede easy goals like that. When you do, it makes winning matches a lot harder."
